Join The Descendants of the CT 29th Colored Regiment for their 7th Annual Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 17th at the CT Violence Intervention Program, 230 Ashmun Street, from 12-6 pm. The social wellness of all people of color is the inspiration of this year’s theme – Pan Africanism: Unified by History, Connected in Culture, and Focused on the Future.
This free, fun, family event will offer African American history artifacts, arts & crafts, college essay/college preparation support, music, employment information, fire safety, health information, line dancing, local performers, vendors, and more! There will also be free hot dogs and soda for the first 200 children who come to the event with their family.
