Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a common childhood psychiatric disorder that affects social communication and may be associated with repetitive behavior, sensory sensitivities, and unusual interests. This presentation will discuss current approaches to assessment, treatment, and educational services for autism with an emphasis on building emotional strengths and resilience in autistic children. Review parenting strategies and cognitive-behavioral interventions for reducing anxiety and irritability with Dr. Denis Sukhodolsky, a clinical child psychologist and Professor at the Yale Child Study Center.
