The New Haven Free Public Library, in partnership with the Yale Affinity Groups, is excited to bring you this book club for families focusing on topics of social importance! Join us in person in the Children’s Room of the Ives Main Library (133 Elm Street, New Haven, CT 06510) the first Saturday of every month, from 11-11:30 am.

G.R.O.W.E.R.S., Inc. @ Greenbrier offers a multi-path approach to providing horticultural education, employment opportunities and therapy for adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Register and join us any time between 9 a.m. and noon. This event is co-sponsored by the DiversAbility at Yale (DAY) Affinity Group and the Future Leaders of Yale (FLY) Affinity Group.

International Women’s Day

Join Yale’s Affinity Groups to celebrate International Women’s Day in various locations across campus on Wednesday, March 8th, from 11:30 am– 1:30 pm. Stop by a location near you to get a flower for yourself, or someone you know, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Suggested donation of $1 per flower is welcomed, while supplies last, to benefit the Connecticut Women Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF).

Love146 Rapid Response Backpack Drive

When Love146 first engages with a child, the child receives a Rapid Response bag that includes many essentials ranging from personal hygiene products, to blankets, to emergency phones and even teddy bears!

Yale Friends of Love146 is organizing a Holiday Rapid Response Backpack Drive that runs from November 1st through December 7th.

We need your help to meet our goal of 20 Rapid Response Backpacks! The contents of each backpack total $100. You can donate by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List using the QR code or via the Venmo tag on the flyer.

The NAACP Harmony Classic 2022

Join us for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Harmony Classic football game on Saturday, October 1, where the Yale Bulldogs take on the Howard Bison at the Yale Bowl.

For over ten years, the Connecticut NAACP State Conference has been hosting this event, which includes marching band performances and more, to inspire peace, fellowship, and harmony on campus. Yale joins the NAACP in its commitment to harmony and belonging.

2022 Walk to End Alzheimer's

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is full of flowers, each carried by someone committed to raising funds and awareness for a breakthrough in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Your participation makes a difference in the lives of those facing the disease.
